Default Cast Rims

I have a set of Case Allum Rims, and hit a pot hole a few days ago. on the inside lip of the rim there's a minor dent, and the tire isn't making a good seal to the rim because of it. If they were regular allum wheels I would beat them out, but with cast it's too risky, and it will most likely crack. I heard a some people getting a tire shop to put some sort of rubber seal on the rim itself, so that the tire makes proper contact all around the bead... is this affective, and if not, is there any other way? ( aside from buying a new rim)

regards, Mark
