I know what I am doing, thanks but I got my parts no need to contact him, I have my ASE, I know how to tune a motor I just have never looked into turbocharging a honda.... I am more of a supercharging my 68 Cuda, type of mechanic.... I posted here to get info on what I need, and
sounds like someone started buying before doing all the research. Your well on your way down the path of a blown motor my friend. As stated several times already its not as simple as just getting some crap and bolting it to the car. You need to know what youre getting into. Theres more to turbo charging then "it makes you faster and it sounds cool".
No $h!t.... I am not some dumb ass bolt on ricer mechanic, I just want to learn more about turbocharging my D16Z6..... Do you have info on that topic Monicle? If you do please post it and stop telling me I dont know what I am doing and give me your info on the subject......

Turbo'd hondas are a lot more demanding than a sc'd cuda. My whole family on my dad's side does that stuff; so I know. Turbo civics are a lot more...'electronic'

check out www.turbod16.com
Search through that forum and you'll learn EVERYTHING you need to do a good job on your civic.

K heres what you need thats not included on your current list. Oil feed and return lines and fittings, charge pipes and couplers, Im assuming your turbo is internally gated so you wont need a wastegate, you will need either a tuneable piggyback ecu ie hondata or uberdata or you could use the vafc hack, since you are building your own downpipe youll obviously need the t3 flange for your turbo and pipes unless the exhaust shop can provide them for you. Some things I would suggest are a boost meter at the least, you might also want oil pressure and exhaust temp meters. and I would also suggest a turbo timer.

How much are you planning to boost? the stock turbo is not likely gated for anything above 8psi and my bet on that particular one would be more arround 5psi. Obviously to up the psi you will need a boost controller manual or electronic, also I would reccomend a high volume fuel pump, and larger injectors (again depending on desired boost levels).

If youd like to see my setup just so you can get an Idea of a path you COULD tak you can check it all out here. http://repo.jackmoves.com/album97

Oh btw sorry about the assumption that you were a "dumb ass bolt on ricer mechanic" however you woundlt believe (or mabe you would) howmany times that that is EXACTLY the situation.
