A direct bolt up one, no. But there might be an aftermarket one out there.

A B16A1 is not a Type R motor.
A B16B(JDM) would be a Type R motor, as with a B18C5(USDM) or B18C(JDM)

There is no such thing as a 6speed transmission for a Civic.

I believe that all JDM motors are missing the last number in the engine code. I BELIEVE. (ie. B18c or B16b).

Tell the guy in your class that wcs said he's a dumbass and he's not impressing anyone. :chuckles:

Also, tell him that you don't count reverse when counting the number of gears you have. h:

MaxBoosT said it exactly right.

why dont you just ask to see his car ...look at the engine code and then try out his stick shift...and u could have a 6 speed in a civic....if u do the k series swap and also swap the tranny with it...but people arent doing it that way...or not that i have heard of

Yes, the Kseries has gone into the civic already with the OEM 6speed tranny, but it's a very expensive swap. HASport is making mounts for that swap now too.

Not likely in this situation.
