Default Turbo with Self Contained Oiling System?

Does anyone know where to find a Turbo with a self contained oil lubricating system. No in/out oil lines. I've been looking around but I can't find one. All I find are the self contained superchagers. Thanks.

I don't think you'll find one. Turbo's run much hotter than a supercharger (you run 1200 degree exhaust gas through half of it and it spins much faster) and the oil isn't just there to lubricate but also to cool. If you couldn't move that oil out or control it's tempurature, it would simply cook and break down and destroy the turbo.

there isn't such a thing that I know of, however I have heard of electric oil pumps that just pump their own oil in and out of the turbo, but then you have to add all that extra weight in your car. probably 30+ lbs with all the added fluid, pump, equipment, etc. Just get a water and oil cooled one if you are so worried. and use synthetic

Oil = lubrication
Water or air = cooling

Without the oil circulating through, it would get too hot, coke up, and push through all the seals. It would quickly fry all your bearings. Bad news

Oil also assists in the cooling... some turbos dont even run water through them.

Thus the water or air statement.

If it doesn't run water through it, it's air cooled.

no, its oil cooled. you dont get very much airflow under the hood and also considering that the radiator is blocking any possible air that might get passed the bumper and the intercooler that you should have if your running a turbo. saying that it is being air cooled is just retarded, the turbo sits a few inches from the block and is bolted to a piece of steel that is hundreds of degrees, so its oil thats keeping that bitch cooled down. just run oil lines, dont worry about water cooled unless your really worried about it and for extra security, you could get a turbo timer that calculates how long the car should run in order for the turbo to properly cool.

well.. what do you think the intercooler does?

air to air cooler.
