Default Guess my alignment problem

Or just tell me. h:

I just had my car aligned 6 months ago and they told me it was fine. I had it done with the stock 185/65/14 tires and wheels on. Will that make a difference now that I have 205/50/15 2002 Civic EX wheels on?

I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but the inside of the tire is feathered really badly. It is only like this on the rear, not the front.

Is the offset on the 02 rims that much different?
Anyone have any suggestions?

 So here's my problem then. I drive half the year with these tires on, and half the year with snow tires on. With which tires should I have it aligned? h:

I'm thinking with which ever tire is cheaper. :rick:

i doubt its just from switching the tires... I have never had a problem like that rotating 3 sets. It looks like they have the toe set too far in or out. Do they give you a sheet showing what everything ends up at when they are done?

I have the sheet from the alignment shop. It's in the car and it's dark and scary outside right now. :nervous: I'll post specs tomorrow.

Yeah, i mean i switched between 3 different tire/rim combos with no problem. Negative camber will only do that much wear in a short period of time w/wrong toe adjustments. Neg camber doesnt effect tire wear that much. And I always ask for a sheet of before and after when I get mine aligned, and never have any problems.

I just checked in my car, I don't have the alignment sheet in there. It's at my parents house in a file folder. I'll have to post it after the next time I go visit them. It may be a while. Thanks for all the input though guys!!

Do not give out false information if you are pulling it out of your butt. You don't need to get an alignment when you change wheels/tires. Hell I would be forking out $1000 a month if I did that (since I change tires every weekend sometimes 4 times in one weekend).

You do need an alignment everytime you change something on your suspension. Lower or raise the car, adjusting camber, etc....

The feathering is usually from too much toe (either out or in). In my opinion if you ask for 0 toe front and back you get better wear and better turn-in without sacrificing skitterish steering. Most tire wear comes from toe not camber.
