Default Mild B20 build up

I am looking to do a mild NA b20 build for a b20 from 2000 crv. I am not looking for something real crazy. I would like it to be realiable and streetable. Any recommendations on intakes, headers, exhausts, intake manifold, TB and cams. OH by the way the b20 is still in my fiance's CRV..... please don't move my post to the CRV forum nobody checks there. Just pretend it is in a civic...please. I would appreciate any help

go for a b20/vtec or even swap in a b18c.... the b20 is unreliable with stock internals IMHO

He said he wants something reliable. B20/Vtec builds have proven to not last long.

Well, there's not too much you can do to a b20 for NA... intake and header will be the big power gainers. Cams with even moderate power gains will destroy the streetability of the car... you'll get a slightly lopey idle, and lose gas mileage very quickly.

B20s are perfectly reliable with stock internals.

You are going at this the wrong way, a B20 is an engine you totaly rebuild to be a race motor, you cant really do what you want to it and get the results you want... More HP= less gas mileage, and if you want more HP and good mileage, and a long lasting motor, get an intake, header, and exhaust. Then start upgrading the stock things to better aftermarket things, like ignition stuff- Cap, Rotor (brass not aluminum), plug wires (bigger the better), Spark plugs ( NGK is your best bet for the B20), after that theres not much you can do unless you want more power and less mileage...

bigger is not better, unless you upgrade your ICM and coil you should not get wires bigger than 8.5mm max you'll get more of a negative impact if you go higher, its like fuel... get bigger fuel lines with the same pump... fuels not gonna move as fast with a stock pump. if you upgrade your pump then your fuel lines will get the use out of them, otherwise it would be just more empty room and take more pressure.... i know no one really upgrades your fuel lines from the tank but its the best example i could think of
