wow, you must be new.

i dunno how much hp the 04 civic has but i'd venture to guess its less than 150hp.

the b16a has 160hp, b16b has 185. there is no b16c. however, there is a b18c, and there are two variations. b18c1 has 170hp and the b18c5 has 195.

basically, your 04 sedan is a turd. just like all the other civics in the US with single-cam motors. sorry.

i'm not from america but from manila. and the 04 civic sedans here come stock with a 155hp, 2.0L DOHC (yup, dual not single) i-vtec k20a (civic SI engine) engine. btw, do you know what's the best N/A honda engine available in the market?

H22a prelude motor.160 ftlbs 200 horsepower. Or the S2000 motor. 240 horsepower, do not know the torque. But you can't use that one except on the s2000

you act like you should be proud of this motor. i believe you have a k20a3 engine, if it's the same engine as our civic si. that motor IS a piece of shit because it's more of an econo engine than the k20 from a new integra type R (rsx-r) or the k20a2 from the rsx type s here in america. the k20a3 motor doesn't utilize VTEC in the same manner as the older b-series and the k20 from the rsx and the tsx engines.

also b18c1's came with 170 and 180 hp depending on the year. the strongest engine that can be easily swapped into a civic right now, in my opinion, is the new rsx engine. not only are they slightly lighter than the b-series, they also have more torque and horsepower, and lose less power from the crank to the wheels. the k-series engines are also more responsive to simple bolt-on's.

OUCH! watch it man, i respect your opinion and i know you're just telling me facts but i think that's just not right, it feels like your insulting me. hey man, show some respect to other's car. we are family here. and hey its a stock engine for a mere $17K car what could you ask more. and its a civic sedan my friend, its not even a type r nor more of an integra. at least its better than the ordinary single cam motor civic sedan. anyway, thanks to your advice, apreciate it.

P.S. i'm proud of my car and i love it.

um...ya the b18cs can be 180hp and the c5 is 190-195

your k series won't hold up to a b series very well..sorry just the facts

the rsx- motors are the only badass k series..but they are exspensive to swap onto a civic.

The best swap for a civic....b18c5 or b18c....h22a is also powerful..but you can really only go all motor

OMFG Dude just shut up. Kseries is WAY better than Bseries.
The a3 may not be as fast as a c1 or c5, stock...but with the same modifications on both, the K will kick the B's ass.
K's respond so well to aftermarket parts. Even more to boost.

I suggest you do some reading on K's...they are most definately the future. The B's are easily on their way out...
