honestly... you wont feel that much of a difference from a LX to an EX. that extra 20 hp you gain from the SOHC VTEC is going to be loss in your automatic transmission.

I've seen cases (worked at a speedshop) where automatic supercharged and turbocharged hondas gained only 20 hp at the most to the wheels. This is after spending 2k on forced induction and parts as well as a few hundred more on all the little "automatic things" such as torque convertors and such. There arent much engine managements for automatics either.

suck it up...learn how to drive stick...throw in a DOHC VTEC..and have fun if you want something more powerful. otherwise, just stick with what you have

Ok i understand what you mean. Im gonna check online to see if i can find any D16Z's or D16Y's online. I might even check a few graveyards. I'm sticking with an auto even though ur right manuals are better.

I use to drive a stick Escort GT. It was fun but I just like autos for some reason. Call me stupid or call me lazy. I mean dont get me wrong Manual transmissions > Auto transmissions. I just dont feel like dealing with another Manual.

auto D16 checking in. might want to check into a bottle on a Dseries engine. Mine was 90hp / 87tq to the wheels stock. then with the bottle it put 140hp / 127tq to the wheels. Ran high 15's with a heavy ass rims, system and car in general
