no, the D series would not give you more HP for a cheaper price..

Auto is fine.. you can learn to use it just as well...

A D would be cheap and easy , a B20 is known for cylinder walls as thin as woah if your gonna boost, a B16 is high revving, fun engine... really not much to complain about there except new motor mounts, and b18's are fun ...

I mean its all your decision, I would do a D16 if I were to do it again.

and whoever said the Y8 or Z6..

yes..

like what has said already..... if you want to go with a B series and stay automatic, we recommend you go with a B18B (94-01 Integra LS) automatic. The engine will bolt right in and you'll have no problems with wiring the automatic tranny if you get all the parts.

If you want to go with the B20, B18C, or B16A, you will have trouble wiring up an automatic tranny. You may also run into ECU problems. The B20 will require you to do a lot of searching for all the parts to work. You'll need to piece everything together. The B16A and B18C will require that you use a manual transmission. You can find a very RARE automatic B16A/B18C but it isnt worth it if you are going automatic.

The D16Z will bump your horsepower to about 126 HP to the crank. This will bolt right in and they do come in automatics.

The B18B will bump your horsepower to about 140 HP to the crank. This will also bolt right in and also come in automatic.

If your willing to drop the extra money, a B18A/B is nice. I've driven an auto EX and an auto Integra... the Integra definately felt better even granted the extra weight.

(maybe it had something to do with the Civic's tacky interior. :chuckles: )

extra camshaft helps

the b18b has a lot of torque.

The displacement helps more. Going from a 1590cc to an 1834cc does that sometimes.

you'll need the axles, intake box, and the automatic LS ECU
