Default SRS unit

Does any one know if it is possible to repair a spoiled SRS unit on 96 Civic?
I was told that there are some specialists who can do that.
Maybe there are other ways to solve this problem cheaper than buy one on dealership.

Thank you!

i know this doesnt deal with a honda but it may help. i used to own a Ford Probe and I ditched it, needless to say the bags deployed. I found that there is an air bag deployment sensor located under the driver's side dash. Just replace that and you should be good to go.

hope this helps!!

BTW, it was only like $80 at a junk yard
