Rewire my civic
I swapped a 94 gsr head on a b16 block (96 civic) last month. The guys that did my swap used my stock harnesses and put a EX ecu.
my questioin is
If i want to get rid of this ecu and buy a p72 from a 96 GSR (OBD II) would I have to buy new harness and rewire the car? could I just adapt my stock harnesses?
Thanks for ur help

shouldn't be hard to do at all. All though I don't know which wires you would have to move around.
I'll try to look it up for you but I need to know for sure what you have.
which civic do you have? the 96 EX?
and you have a '96 GSR swap?

no, its 96 hatch with 94 gsr, but the ecu that this guys put is an ex ecu .
its kind of confusing because we ask for a b16a and we got a b16a block with a b18c (94) head.
and I think the mechanics at the shop didnt even notice.

an OBD1 EX ECU or an OBD2 EX ECU? makes a huge difference.
I'd be worried that the place didn't know the difference between the GSR head and the B16 head.... wonder what else the f'd up.

sorry, the 96-98 civic and 96-99 Teg are plug and play. the only thing you may have to do is run the IAB (secondary butterfly) for the GSRs intake mani if you have it. If you have the B16's intake mani you should be set.
