Go to the local parts store. Buy a stock replacement, one made by Bosal if they have them. Done.

Or go to Honda and get an OEM replacement. It will bolt right up and is guaranteed for the life of the car.

Not a bad Idea. I guess you hit the nail right on the head.

:goodjob:

I've had positive experiences with Bosal, I used one of their stock replacement peices on my mother's 626. It is an exact OEM copy, sounds like stock, and still looks fresh after about 6 months now. Most local parts stores can get Bosal parts, you might want to look around to see if you can save yourself the shipping cost.

Bosal is one of the largest manufaturers of aftermarket stock replacement mufflers, and are now into aftermarket performance mufflers. The latter sound pretty good, too.

If it helps, some of the OEM Honda mufflers are made by Walker. Go to an auto parts store that sells Walker mufflers and you should be ok. They will also be a lot less than the dealer.
