Default AEBS Intake Manifold

I was just looking thru a catalog of what my favorite speed shop can get for me and I saw this ad that was for a pretty nice polished looking intake manifold and it had a big bubble in the middle of the ad that said "Developed in conjunction with AEBS!"

Anyway, the manifold was 200 bucks, and I am thinkin about going over there and ordering it , it goes up to 65mm TB as well I believe. Anyone heard of it?

im sure AEBS makes good stuff....but their customer service just plain sucks.

it took 3 months for them to sleeve my friend's motor when they told them it would take 1 week. they wouldnt answer their phones...and kept giving the run arounds.

Jeez that sucks. I probably wont have to deal with them though since its being ordered by a distributor.. I hope I dont have to deal with them anyhow

If it is true to the discription, that's a good deal... considering AEM charges more then that for a bent aluminum tube. :chuckles:

folks say the AEBS intake mani looks like garbage in person, is rough around the edges and has a few flaws. But once they bolt it on, it actually does make good power. I'd be prepared to doctor it up a bit. I'd probably get my tb bored too, and in the process have the intake mani's inlet cleaned up to match the tb.

I'll second that. I waited for months and months to get b16a headstuds. It turns out that AEBS put them in their catalogs, but the studs weren't actually in production yet. I've got another friend that has been waiting on an AEBS header for his Spec V since March. Good products, just slow to get things to market.

out of curiosity do machine shops bore out T/B's?

I dont mind cleaning it up abit, as long as it makes decent power.

You guys remember me waiting on my motor to get back? Said 1.5 weeks turned out to be 3 months and they forgot to o-ring it.

Z10 is a certified installer and retailer for AEBS and guarantees a 1 week turnaround on sleeving though. They might be able to hook you up with the intake mani. h:
