Default Need a solution to stop snaping belts at 9k rpm

Anyone have a solution to this, I've maneged to get the alternator belt to last for a month now by leaving it pretty loose, loose enough so it does not squeal, but if you have found a solution please share.

Dont rev to 9,000?

There are stronger belts available, just look around.

do you have the correct tension on them? also are you using a ghetto ass pulley kit or something? I dont see why you should be having any problem.

I have a 98 gsr with some internal work done to it. 9k is sweet music to my ears. I'm using stock puleys, and stock honda belts.

They have been holding up for now, I was just wondering if any one had any tricks or something. but thanks for the replies.
