I've heard of many aftermarket parts that would rust rather quickly....

I wish I wish. But my father is putting up the money for this and if he wants him to do it so be it. I really have little say in the matter. He's completely against doing anything outside of a garage unless it's something like an oil change or real simple shit. If it was my money I never would of never left the car there, it ended up with this guy b/c that's where it broke down at. I would've bought the JDM D15B I found and had someone (like you honura) install it to replace the D15B7 that crapped out. BTW honura it's in Nyack, NY right now by the Palisades Mall.

Cheapo aftermarket steel headers and manifolds will rust instantaneously. Did it have the stock heatshield on it still?

Nope. And it it was a cheap ass part I don't want it back.

yeah it was probably a cheapo steel header, for future I suggest DC , they make a bitchin plasma coated header.
