fire wall flex

Default fire wall flex

ok heres the deal. i have a 96 civic and i did a auto to manual swap. i took my car to my mechanic and he tolk me when i press the clutch pedal down the fire wall is flexing causing me to lose about a inch of pedal. my question is, is these a shim or something i didnt put in? or is there something i can use the strengthen the fire wall?

sorry i cant anwser your question but want to do the same thing to my car was it exspensive and how much work was it?. thanks

i bought the donor car and i paid 800 for the motor swap and manual conversion. i wish i had done it myself and saved the money.

500 for the motor swap and 300 for the auto to maunal swap.

update: i figured out the problem. i got to looking at the clutch pedal bracket and i noticed that i was missing the top bolt. this bolt was causing my fire wall flex. this just goes to show you, professionals mess up too and know to type of work the people do that you are taking you car to.
