New Coilovers, but how much drop?
Well I am excited to get my new coilovers, but I was also wondering how much to lower it. I want to lower it just enough to get the wheel perfectly with the wheel wells. But I am also to poor to upgrade my camber. Has anyone heard of exessive tire wear when it is lowered about 2.25"?

With c/o's it's a trial-and-error kind of thing. You can't measure them before you put them on the car and expect to get the exact drop you want. Put them on the car at all the same measurement (Front one, rear another if that's what you want) so that it's easier to change them to match. When you have them on and the car is sitting normally, you'll have a better idea of how much to raise/lower them. It's a tedious process, but once you get them where you want them you should be good to go. Also, since they're new, leave them raised just a bit above where you want the car to sit so that they have room to settle.

rotate your tires regularly and you won't have to worry too much. I run -2.5 degrees front camber and -1.5 rear daily, and I haven't had excessive tire wear... certainly more than stock, but not enough for me to give up the grip

I've lowered my 92 sedan on coilovers and the tires are just inside the wheelwells all the way around. Not sure what the drop is but its most likely more than 2 inches. Definitely have uneven tirewear, had the drop for almost a year and a half and about 20k miles maybe and need new tires cuz the insides are almost bald. Wears a ton more in the front, but I could only rotate front to back since my tires are unidirectional. I'm too cheap to get the camber kit too so I'm goin for nitto neo-gen tires since they are made to prevent that uneven wear. Kinda like cheating ingalls out of a sale

You did get the toe evened out after you lowered it, correct? If not, your tires (not to mention your handling) may be suffering unnecesarily.

my civic has just under 2" of drop and while the fronts are straight the back ones butterfly a bit. been that way for 2 years and only very minimal wear with tire rotation like twice a year. i think if you go much below 2" you need camber adjust. and they dont sell 4 back tires in most civics if i am correct. i cant roll any lower ive got scratches on header, cat and exhaust. damn speed bumps.
