To Do List on Your Car...
#21
My list for this summer (and probably a bit into the fall):
motor:
-Buy JDM B16A (w/ LSD)
-sell shortblock to buddy
-Pull B18A shortblock from parts car
-Get B18A shortblock sleeved, bored (85mm) and built
-assemble said shortblock with the B16A tranny and head
-get Hondata and get my ass on the dyno
Random:
-Strip interior
-Move battery
-put in teggy seats from my parts car
-put my winter tires onto my new 14" alloys
suspension (if I have money, this stuff isn't really a priority right now):
-SPC camber kit
-ground control upper mount hats
-*considering* upgrading my front swaybar and revising my spring rates
I'm excited

reallisticlly, maybe finally do something with my powertrain.... I might be getting a 5spd ex tranny soon :rick:
but if I won the lotto:
jdm bumpers, jdm sidemolding, c/f hood, jdm itr 5-lug swap, itr engine, gc c/o's and koni yellows, etc. etc. etc. I could go on for days, probably.....
you can do sooooo much to civics.... sometimes, too much :brokebastard:

s1ngle, what Saab turbo were you planning on using? Many of them have a very unusual configuration and bolt pattern, making them difficult to put on other cars. Also, the Saab BOV isn't so hot. You can get a Bosch BOV (i forget the model, but I can check) for the same price... its the same BOV used on the 911 turbo. But if you plan on running anything past 10psi, the diaphragm wears out really fast. We ended up having to put ours in the freezer for a couple hours to get it to work right.... killed three of them and then finally upgraded to something a little more robust (Forge ), all this on the stock turbo (which has since been upgraded twice) ...of course, the car regularly sees well over 20psi. :rick:

garsh, i thought the bolt pattern was standard T3... i sure hope it is
its just a .42/.48 small T3
yeah, the bov is for sure crappy, I have that and a Ford probe BOV, dunno which is better. I'll run one of them till i can afford a bling BOV. theyre both from junkyards.
I'll probably only ever run max 8 psi on these BOV's. I'm gonna wait till after I graduate from Mines to blow my engine, if i did it now my parents would kill me
I have a custom BmC manifold, and it can work with either standard T3 flanges or Mopar T3. I had a Mopar T3, but found this saab one that is in incredible condition, so I wanted to use that.
If you know that its not standard T3, that would be useful info for me
