Nothing like the smell of a freshly machined block, eh?
Your machine shop did a lot better than mine did. Mine forgot what I wanted done to the block, where they put my stuff, and put the wrong cams in the head. I had to get a lot of it replaced or re-done because stuff like this has to be right the first time. You know what I'm sayin'? ya. Double check EVERYTHING.
Looks like you've still got a LOT of assembly to do. I saw you say "[it's] about to go in". Don't rush. I had $1150 worth of new fasteners, gaskets, seals, o-rings and everything I thought I needed, and I had double-checked it twice, then stuff started not fitting right. About the only thing that's gone smoothly so far was the exhaust. Aside from that, custom stuff always takes 10x longer than you think it will. Take your time. Don't hurry for OUR sakes.

Jafro, I'm not going to rush. You have to remember that this isn't the first time I've done this. h: I have a lot of parts here that I've been stockpiling so that I'd have what I needed when the block came back.
It will be done right.
