I have successfully resoldered the boards of main relays and they work fine. You can pop the cover off and look at the solder joints on the circuit board, some joints will be cracked. It takes good eyes to see or a magnifying glass. When you find the bad joints just get a cheap pen soldering gun (THE PEN TYPE!) and turn it to low watts. Then resolder the joints and try it out after it cools. At the dealer we replace them and then I resolder the old ones for test relays or to sell to my friends.
Thanks everyone for your help. It was actually the fuel pump itself. The relay works fine but I was getting no fuel. We swapped out the fuel pump and she started right up.
Actually had a friend with an extra so I took him and his girl to dinner for xchange of part. The actual swapping of the fuel pump took all of 15 minutes.
