For every car I've owned, I try to change every 3000 miles or so. But, I think Honda (I can't remember where I saw this) says every 6000 miles. So, I dunno. I'd say aim for every 3-4000 to be on the safe side...keep your motor happy.

i change it every 3000. i mean oil isnt that expensive and it only takes 15-20 mins to do. i figure why not seeing as how it give me something to do. also, if you use a synthetic oil it is recommended that you change it more frequently as it breaks down quicker.

The 6000 mile interval is for light usage, which means that if you drive your car every day and have to deal with traffic lights, then you pretty much aren't in the light usage category. I try to change mine around 3000 give or take.

Go to www.honda-tech.com, click on the Integra Type-R forum section, then click on "FAQ - READ BEFORE ASKING A QUESTION." Scroll down some and you'll find all you ever wanted to know about oil and oil filters, including when to change them.
