the f22a1 is non-vtec SOHC from 90-93 accord DX/LX
some of the other possible engines would be the f22a4 from the 90-91 EX accord or the f22a6 from the 92-93 EX accords. Both are rated close to 140HP.

The f22b1 is the VTEC SOHC engine from the 94-97 accords @ 145HP from the EX
the f22b2 is the non vtec engine from the 94-97 accords, which is very similar to the f22a1.

The of course you have the f23a1 from the 98-02 accords.

These engines can usually be had for just a couple hundred bucks so that is why I thought someone might have played around with them and put one in a civic. I guess they haven't.

Like I tell everyone else who mentions it:

It's all the hard work of an H-series swap, with none of the rewards of an H-series swap.

You decide.

there is an f20b motor out of 97-00 type-r/euro accords that would be worth swapping they have 200hp and 145lb/tq w/ 11:1 compression. they are very hard to find and are expensive. imo i think an f22 swap would be point less they only have 140hp and 130lb/tq. it might be a good idea if ur planning on putting a turbo on it. f22's come out of 90-95 accords and 92 base model preludes. an h22 would be way more worth it.

im helping do one next week actually. yes its just like an H series swap.

the swap is more common on accords, but it'll fit in just like an h-series.

Now that's what I'm talking about. Get some pics of it if you can. Exactly which F series engine are you putting in?

its the exact same process of swapping an H-series, only with shit power. Seems kinda pointless to me.

The F20B is simply a destroked H22A, might as well use the real deal (H22A.)

If it was up to me, I'd use an H23A before an F22*.
