more problems.....
couldnt get the new axel in without the lower ball joint off. so back to "the zone" to rent their fork for $15 bucks. Oh and when we were taking the ball joint and steering off, the little clips wouldn't come out because they were rusted, so we just broke them off. Finally get it back in there, and go to tighten the bolts and they just spin (needs air gun), and the new clips won't go in because the old broken pieces are still in the holes.
So i just put it all together as tight as i can get it, and im gunna go to a shop tomorrow and see how much someone will charge to pull my wheel off, drill the pins out of the bolts, and airgun the nuts on tight. What a P I T A.
So i'm really pissed, and am gunna clean up and goto bed.
It showed me. man i already hate working on imports.

You don't need to drill out whats left of the codder pins.. just use something small to poke at them from one side & needle nose pliers to grab them from the other side.. they will come out..
also to get the bolts from spinning push up the rubber boot a lil bit & grab ahold of it with some vise grips (extremly tight) & then use u'r ratchet on the nuts.. they should tighten up..
I use my huge compressor in my powder coating shop with my air tools.. but it sounds like you'r limited to hand tools.. good luck on this.. hope it saves u a couple bucks..
OHhh.. DON'T FORGET TO REPLACE THOSE CODDER PINS.. bad things can happen with out them

I dunno why you guys all pull the ball joints to do axles....what a pita....all you have to do is undo the four bolts that run alont the LCA and undo the hub nut....voila it pulls out like pie...I did my buddies axle in about 20 minutes in a farmer jack parking lot with just a ratchet and a set of metric sockets......:dunno:
hell I just dropped the trans and did a new clutch without ever removing the axles from the hub, or takin out the ball joints.

Oh and I was able to use the vise grips on the steering bracket, but there's no way i can get them on the lower ball joint. Too much shit in the way. And it sucks cause i'm out of money till friday, so i guess my car will just have to sit.

it's cool man, i ended up taking the car to meineke right next to my house, and they drilled out the old codder pins and zipped everything back on right.
they also found one of my hinges on my muffler was broke, and they welded that up for me for free.
