You can find older LS motors for 700 bucks or less, and you can find a newer LS head to swap onto it.

An LS motor should run you no more than 2k if you look around, and thats including installation.

yea...unfortunately i dont really have the time or tools to do any of that stuff myself anymore. after lookin at the "turbo mike" videos, it looks like a lot of fun to just have an ex w/ a greddy kit on it...even if it wont set records and stuff, it'll still kill most cars....even a lot of nice ones.

I would go with a B-series motor swap. I raced some guy with a SOHC turbo and I smoked him twice with my B16. The SOHC is very very slow.

Oh and by the way, on revlimit.cc - i'd like to point out that Turbo mikes SOHC Turbo has a better E/T than a B16A2 swapped 5th gen coupe WITH A JRSC and a TON of mods.. Tim is his name. Of course results will vary but you should be in the same ball park as mike if you tune yours properly. Turbo is the way to go... just Make sure you have the proper electronics also

That's funny. My friends turbo ex hangs neck and neck with my B18C ex and he's only boosting 5.5 psi.

Yeah I know that's funny - cause my friend's turbo ex boosting 9psi is beating Supercharged B16 Hybrids

hrmm i'd think a 5.5 psi sohc would beat a gsr. But i guess a sohc turbo is only 140 whp? What do you think 7psi intercooled would be pushing WHP? I'd like to have around 180 whp at 7 psi intercooled but i don't think i'll make it....i can always purge into the intercooler

I know at 11psi you can get over 200 whp especially once its dyno tuned

yeah but you can't run 11 psi on stock internals regularly I'm trying not to blow up my sohc for a while...but then again a GSR turbo would be nice too
