Remember also. With the turbo, if you want to swap later all you need is a new manifold and you're set. Boost rules.

thanks for the tips...is there any reason why boosting a sohc motor would be better than boosting a dohc? i've heard that keeping a dohc turbo w/ vtech is a biatch.

Not true about putting more boost in a SOHC, I have a friend who has a 92 teg with a b18a with a rev hard stage 2 intercooled setup, with a block guard and JE pistons and Crower rods and he runs 15lbs on the street and 17 on the strip, at 15 he dyno'd at about 340hp at the wheels. Just a tip.

imo, $5k would be best spent on a b18b with a t3/t04.

Are you sure it will work just like that? I am also debating between GSR swap or SOHC turbo. I would probably get a DRAG 3 kit if i were to do the sohc. Would the piping and everything else for the sohc drag kit fit a b18c motor? If so i'll probably go sohc turbo....also do you think it's safe to run a consistent 6-7 psi everyday? And do you think my motor can handle it if i get a t3/t4 drag kit and then spray a 55 shot (I have a zex kit now)

speedracer... thanks for the link for the greddy turbo... just the info i am missing... here's one for ya....

i'm most likely gonna boost my d16y8 too... just to give it a little more balls. then later on... if i blow it up.. i'll just swap... till then... i think boost is cool also~

as for the pipings... i think it should fit perfectly even if later you swap a b18c. in the meantime... i think boosting 6-7psi on an unbuilt sohc is kinda risky plus spraying 55 shots? (can any one correct me if i am wrong?? :naughty: ) if i boost mine d16y8, i'll keep it at around 5-5.5... since my isn't built. i might get a block guard just instead... anyone know where i can get a good block guard for my little d16y8 engine??
