Default car wont start???

i switched batterys with my 96 civic dx, and i must have crossed wires somehow and blew the fuse, the store only had 70amp fuse and they were too big, so i bent it in a little and put it back, i heard my cd player go on, i get in try to start on the second turn of the key all the lights went on then when i turned it more to start it everything just shut off, and now i get nothing, what could be wrong?
Thanx ahead of time.

something's not right. Check all your wiring, see if something is not hooked up. Other than that, try another battery...

You could have fried some wires. It's not good to let more power go thorugh the wires than specified. That's the whole point of the fuse.
