You are absolutely right, I totally forgot about "HOneywell". I haven't seen any in a while but yes Honeywell makes the new filters too. I couldn't find any "fram" marked used filters today in the drainers but as soon as I get one I'm cutting it open to answer some questions.

i've changed my oil about 9 times since i've had my car, and i coulda sworn i've went through at least 3 different brands on those honda "OEM" oil filters.
i went to my local autozone where they have a cut out of the oil filters they sell and the fram looks like crap . .. . cardboard pieces where mobil one has metal pieces. the guy who freakin works there told me to never touch the fram stuff h:

You are correct as I stated before about 4 times Honda uses different suppliers to make the filters for them, that way the is never a shortage of oil filters if say one company has a union stike and walks off the job (ha ha GM).

Fram is owned by Allied Signal, Allied Signal is owned by Honeywell. I think...

Maybe it was Honeywell that bought out Allied Signal. I don't remember, but I know that Fram is owned by Honeywell somehow.

i work in the parts dept at a honda shop (motorcycle, atv's& watercraft) and the oil filter that fits a vtx1800 and a GL1500 goldwing is the exact same filter that i used on my old D15b

LOL... Who do you think makes the K&N filters?

The new smaller oil filters somehow manage to filter the same amount, yet eliminate apx 2-5lbs of oil pressure loss.

That means, use the small ones. VTEC needs oil pressure.
