11 years from now I'll be 40 and I will still own a civic or two.

You're fine. 40's not too old for a civic. It's just old enough to be complaing about a DSM.

My dad drives my Civic sometimes, and he's about 50. Says he likes it makes him feel younger than driving his Accord around

Is the 7th gen Civic body structure a lot more stiffer/stronger than that of say, a 4th/5th gen Civic? If so, by how much?

shit man being older only makes the honda tuning scence more fun!! Most of us younger folk dont have the money to tune at the leval wed like to but you older guys can afford to alot more alot quicker. You could turn a boring old soccer mom civic sedan into something those Beemer driving basterds cant touch for probaly half the cost they put into there beemer. And like someone said, if something breaks on your honda your not gonna be paying out the ass for exspensive parts because the parts base on these things is HUGE and your about garunteed to find a deal some where.

I turned 32 (if that makes you feel better) and I will always be driving some sort of Honda. I would grab a 2001 Integra GSR if I had the choice now. More power more torque and basically the same platform as the Civic.

the 7th gen platform may be marginally stiffer than the 4/5/6th gen platform, but not enough to make a serious difference. IMO the best civic made (performance wise) is the 4th gen. Its much lighter than any comperable civic (exept the 3rd gen), but has the same sophisticated suspension system that made civics/integras famous.
