-the section where the pipe's go over the rear axel is a ****ed up job with a pipe only like 1.5" or so.. not 2.25" like its supposed to be

Definitely call them on it ASAP, and call up the BBB... don't let them fawk you over.

Also, no need to rush it... I drove with a busted exhaust and no muffler for over a year :exnbp: I'm ghetto like that, gave the gf carbon monoxide poisoning h:

Yeah, be perfectly clear about it... don't let them push you over. I've dealt with shady automotive "professionals" enough to know you gotta be blunt, and you can't relent. (Got a lot of un-intentional discounts that way )

the exhaust i had done was internally mandrel bent. I dunno what the hell that means, but the exhaust isn't crush bent piping.

i say open up the phone book and call all muffler shops till one shop says, yes.

shouldn't be that big of a deal.

drive around as is, if you get pulled over explains your issue, if you get a ticket go to court with proof of new exhaust. you'll be home scott free. done it quite a few times.

i already called around got quotes, had some price matching done. and got it all done drove home at 3:30 today.. but the more i inspected it ..the less happy i became. if you read the last couple posts in the thread you'll see why. so tomorrow hopefully i can get this all settled out.. you cross your fingers for me to, cool? haha

aight i called him up. he said that there was miscommunication. he wasn't aware they were upping the pipe diameter. and about the rear section that was only 1.75" he said he was afraid that if they put a 2" pipe there that the sway bar would hit it. he said oem in that section was only 1.5"
so i guess i lose..because i'm not getting a discount or anything.

he was nice about everything and did say that if any of it broke blah blah. they will fully stand behind their warrenty etc.

so. i mean i am happy with it audibly..if thats the word to use. visually its ok.. it looks almost exactly like my stock one untill you get on the ground.. but i wish they had placed the muffler different.. the muffler looks just like this one in the pic(es oval style i guess).. but instead of mounting it like that.. they mounted it farther back and clamped on a 2" pipe. the picture of my car is right after i got home.

now with the car on the left.. is there a possibility that the rear bumper will suffer burn and oil marks from the exhaust being right there?

FYI, (I know that you've replaced your exhaust already) there are only a handful of companies in the US that mandrel bend pipes. Everyone else uses press bent stuff simply because, like you said, the equipment is too expensive. Like... several hundred thousand dollars kind of expensive. If you want mandrel bent stuff, you WILL have to mail order and wait, or purchase pre-bent pipes from someone like http://www.burnsstainless.com and make your own exhaust. You'll see real fast how much it costs to DIY with mandrel stuff. You're better off buying a dyno-tested pre-made setup for your car if you HAVE to have mandrel bent. It's cheaper.

FYI Part II: OEM Honda pipes are press bent.
