What kinda car, trim? That would help. It's a pretty straight foward job. If it's an h4 (9004) then just twist the plastic off, Pull out te bulb, and replace it. If it's an H3 Then take the metal rod of the holds the bulb in and take the bulb out and replace it. Hope that helps.

umm... an h4 is the same as a 9003, not a 9004. all civics and sol 92+ use 9003 bulbs (h4 style). to take out the bulbs, just pull off the black connector, then pull off the rubber boot (looks like a black rubber donut). there is a metal wire/clip that holds the bulb in the housing. you need to "unclip" it. before you install the new bulb, swab it with denatured alcohol so it wont expode, and dont touch the glass of the bulb. intallation is the reverse, just make sure the bulb is oriented in the same direction as the stock one. btw, "xenon white" bulbs will put less actual llight out on the road.

I have never put alcohol on any of my bulbs. Does it make it last longer or does it keep the aftermarket high watt bulbs from exploding??? Some info on that...

oops sorry for being vague. you skin has natural oils on it. if they get on a halogen bulb, the high heat can cause it to crack the bulb. swabbing it with alcohol will remove the oil. even if you never touched the bulbs, someone else may have when handling the bulbs, so it always a good idea to clean them
