holy shit bro, looks like youve been carrying on a conversation with yourself here :db:
i personally dont know shit about struts seeing as how ive never owned a set of aftermarkets, i like the rough bounce/ride with my blown stock ones, especailly with voluptuous girls in the car

i bought AGX's, and u dont have to raise the car to adjust them, i like having the adjustibility even for just the street. and i hear they hold up better than GR2's and blues with a drop, im running them with s-techs, and honestly its a really good combo. hope that helped a little, but also if ur gonna upgrade later i say just go with the AGX's just so u have the little reassurance that they are gonna hold up.

I would say "no" to the Tokico Blues. Bakeoff had a set (or 2, I can't remember) and I know he blew more than 1 of them, although I'm not sure how. But I know he didn't hit any curbs or anything. It might have been a fat guy in a little car though...
I have AGX's and Arospeed springs. The ride is pretty stiff, and you may not like it if you spend that much time driving every day. I don't autoX or race either, but I do enjoy onramps and twisty roads...
As for the adjustability...They tend to seem bouncy at the lower settings, but that could be more of a function of my cheap-ass springs, so I dunno. You may wanna just wait and get something even better that will be more comfortable for your needs.

I weigh like a buck fifty soaking wet, so I don't think that'd be a problem. However, when I compare it to the storys above (ie, supermac and section8), it makes me wonder..... How long did he have them before he blew the 1 or more shock(s)?

to adjust the fronts u just pop the hood and use a flat head screwdriver and at the top of the shock u can pick the setting by turning that, and the rears u get on ur back and get ur arm under and turn the dial, really only takes a second or two, its really easy.

They don't suck TOO bad, there's just a bit too much bounce sometimes.

I take it you leave it at full stiffness? How long have you had them?
I've had them for ~10 months. I change them occaisonally, but usually "3" in the front (4 is stiffest) and "4" in the rear.

I was unclear...Bakeoff himself is not fat, but he had a fat guy ride in his car.
yeah, I get that every now and then. Can't say its a good thing, since it makes the passenger side a little lower than my side :eek3:
eh, better to have a fat guy in the car than a fat chick.
I don't remember how long he had them, but I'm pretty sure he didn't do anything severe (like smack a curb) to blow them. In the end, I don't think he liked them much.
Hey, I have them too... h:

Hmmm... Having never owned any other aftermarket shocks, I don't really know...Tein maybe? Koni Yellows?
- go with the AGX's and stay on my arospeeds, yO!
or
- I could go with GR2's or the tokico blues and get a set of Tein s-tech's with the money I saved. I'm sure that ride would be a comfy one, since stock dampening isn't too bad for street usage.
