COOLANT...I can't stress that enough. A caked on water hose and damaged water pump is not fun to replace on these cars, especially since the WP is inside the timing belt housing. Do a complete flush of your cooling system, you don't necessarly have to go buy that Prestone Flush Kit with the "T", what I did was disconnect the hose at the water heater valve and flush my core that way by connecting the outlet hose (off the valve, not the core) to the garden hose. Then obviously remove the thermostate and the lower outlet hose from the water pump so it can flush out. But that's very important!

^what he said. Also, Honda recommends you replace your fuel filter every 15,000 miles. Just thought I'd throw that in

  • Also flush the brake system.
  • add a bottle of fuel injector cleaner
  • check tire pressures
  • check spark plugs
  • check lugs
