Default rear brakes locking up

OK...im stumped.

Changed my pads/rotors yesterday. (brembo blanks/hawk hps pads) Brakes were doing fine until then. The rear disc brakes are both locking up. Driver rear is locking up more than passenger rear. We did everything by the book installing new pads and rotors. Rotors were cleaned off with brake cleaner, rear pistons were screwed back in clockwise. All nuts/screws were torqued to specs. What could be my problem?

I am however running the Integra brake setup on my car. And I am running the 3 door ebrake cable. (I have a 4 door civic) This is probably the only thing I think is causing the problem. (Integra 3 door ebrake cable is 2 inches shorter than the 4 door Integra, and the Civic sedan/coupe are both 2 inches longer in wheelbase....but can wheelbase determine how long the ebrake cable should be?) The cable might be too short and is pulling on the ebrake in the rear. However when I swapped over the brakes a few months ago...I ran into this problem which was fixed by adjusting the ebrake tension nut inside. I loosened the ebrake this time but is still causing the problem. I also loosened the ebrake entirely from the inside and it is still causing the problem There is no play on my ebrake cable from the inside when loose. I dont know if that is good or bad.

Could we have caused more tension on the ebrake when removing the rear caliper from the rotor? Could it be that both my rear pistons seized? One more than the other? My rear discs look titanium now from all the heat. There's a purplish/blueish tint to the edges from the high temp. My lugnuts and rim were not touchable by hand for at least 15-20 minutes.

I did all the research I can...but unfortunately not many other Civic sedans out there are running the setup I am. All were running hatchback setups. I need your guy's best guess or experience to help me out here. I am stumped and have no ride to work h:

TIA

sounds like your shorter ebrake cable has em locked up to me.

try taking it out and see if that cures you. otherwise you have some caliper issues.

i did not. but not doing so would not just effect the rear brakes?? the fronts are fine.

take off the ebrake cable and see what's happening with the brakes.

my rear passenger side caliper seized, and it got dusty very quickly.

i found that out when I couldn't compress the piston back into the caliper after brake pad change.

i thought you were supposed to bleed the brakes at every brake change?? it does sound like your e-brake is too tight. you are supposed to have like half inch or so play before it picks up the cable and pulls it.
