Default Time for new rotors...

Hey everyone! I'm pretty sure my rotors are warped on my '00 Civic EX Sedan. I am feeling some shimmying when braking, especially from highway speeds. It happened sometime after I washed my car/checked lug torque/washed & cleaned off brakes. I wanted to get all the crap from winter off - cinders, brake dust, dirt, salt, etc. I can't figure out how it happened. So two questions, first any ideas as to how it might have happened? Secondly, I'm coming up on my 45K maintenance - if necessary what components do you recommend - pads/rotors, if they need replaced? OEM, Brembo, AEM? My car is just a daily driver, so I'm not looking to break the bank. Thanks!

If your rotors are warped, you could go for some Brembo blanks and a set of AEM pads.

I picked up some Brembo blanks for a good price off of GBC from IRP. Good guys over there and I can't wait to install them. Got some Axxis Ultimate pads too.

How do they compare to AEM pads - price/performance/quality? I know nothing about either.

Ulitmates put AEM pads to shame they are well worth the extra cost.

Also a great choice. I have a thread going in the Track section about brakes. Nate, you should check it out.

Very good information about different pads and whatnot.
