Default D16z6 Greddy Turbo Question

So ive decided to go with the greddy kit since im only gonna be boostin 5psi. I have a built 10:8:1 motor. The kit comes with a "fcu" is that good or do i still need to buy a "fmu"? Also im getting 310cc injectos and a hi-flow fuel pump. Should i get a fmic or is it not needed? thanks

ive heard the greddy blue box is fine for 5psi, just not for anything above it.

if you are getting the new greddy kit with the e-manage and the 310 injectors you will be fine bump it up to 8psi. A FMIC is not needed but it will make things run alot smoother.

Get an FMU anyways... The worst thing u can do to a boosted engine is starve it from fuel. with a good FMU you won't have to worry about that happening. Also make sure u get a Fuel Pressure Gauge inside your car so that u can moniter whats goin on as u build boost!!

jus out of curiousities sake why are you boosting a high compression z6? I understand you want to go fast, but that was the wrong way to go about things man. I really can't tell you what would be safe. you might want to try www.turbod16.com they should be able to help you.

If the engine is built strong enough to hold up to it then it will be awsome.. if not u'll probly be takin the bus for a while... My buddy is runnin High Compression & High boost on his Neon & it's at like 10.7 - 11.3 on an average.. but he totaly built the engine.. & went by Mopar Tested spec's or somethin.. all i kno is his shit blows mine away at the track!

you should be good up to 8psi since the botom end built. Right? The kit should have come with a fmu. My friends did. Unless that's something that they don't include anymore, as he bought his about 6+ yrs ago. I have one I can sell you if you want. It's a FMU from the greddy kit that my friend bought. Works good on NA or turbo :woowoo:
