plus "generic" chips can't account for environmental conditions. If I were to run a one-size-fits-all chip up here at altitude, my car would run like crap.

14.6 is pretty good. If you're going with the s2 IM, I'd go ahead and get some cams (typeR, s2 stage 1...) also. The IM will shift your powerband a bit northward, and having the appropriate cam profiles will help it do its job right.

That's a first, my friends jdm b18c had no problems going as fast I wanted it to.

Is that when the fuel cut off is around 8k or so? Maybe you hit the rev limiter....

You don't have to do one before the other, but they will compliment each other.

do whatever your wallet dictates. The IM wont do too much without the cams, but it certainly wont hurt anything.

My manifold certainly opened up my motor, but that was to be expected, since the GSR manifold is so different from the others.

Either way white_n_slow is correct.

my girl back me up running last night by running a even lover 14.6 with my car and bumped up the MPH to 94 wit a 2.282 60ft. It was pretty unexpected cause I didnt do any weight reduction to it now change the wheels unlike i did when I first ran a 14.6, plus last night we even went to a worse track. We just went to let her have fun wit the car expecting her to be running 15s but she shocked me.

I guess the theory is true that it is hard to get a 2.2 60' time on street tires. The last time I ran I was on Rota slips wit street tires and my best 60ft was 2.3s. last night i was on my stock 14inch steelies and hub caps and we were both able to pull 2.2s.

I think we will be going to the better track next friday and test our tire theory and see if i can get into the low 14s wit the spare tire and jack out and higher octane cause that would be nice.
