You're all wrong, vtec doesn't engage at a given point...it depends on oil temp, oil pressure, engine temp, ecu, etc.....it engages anywhere between a certain rpm range(anywhere from 4800-5400 i think)...depending on the above characteristics....

I don't even have vtec and I know this....

No you are wrong on this one, vtec engages at a set rpm, but it depends on all those factors being correct.
