I painted some interior pieces of my car using A Flexible paint meant for bumpers. I picked it up at PepBoys.

It looks freaking horrible with tan. dark grey with tan :nervous:

The thing that sucks to is even if you paint it, your buttons will still be that grey color. I think that would look even more ghetto.

I bought my SEM paint from http://www.eastwoodco.com

Thing to consider buying are the SEM sand free and plastic/leather prep to help the paint adhere to the vinyl.

They do offer the paint and the sand free and plastic/leather prep in kits.

Werd! I never knew they didn't come color matched with the rest of the interior... since mine was grey, I thought it was normal... but after seeing tan interior with the grey dash area :ugh:

Normally I'd think the idea would be  but that actually looks legit!

Word, I say just let it be... my guess is that's how Honda cut costs, if they made that area other colors, then they'd have to make buttons & faceplates in ever other color.

I have been in the process of dying my Del Sol interior for the past week or so while I wait to get an engine for it. I have half black, half faded gray interior like most Sols... the gray was really ugly looking, black looks a lot better. I used ColorBond dye... it looks GREAT, drys in about 10 minutes (though I always let it sit several hours before putting the panel back on), and it allows for some error. Paint will come out horrible if you put too much on, etc, the dye doesn't at all. Below is a pic of my rear speaker panel, top is before obviously and botom is after. The grills were painted the day before using paint... and came out pretty bad compared to the dye.
