y7 to y8 intake manifold...intake question
I will be installing a y8 manifold on my y7 next month and need a new intake. Now i know i can use a ITR ram intake. My problem is there are a VERY limited amount of choices. Is it possible to use a ram intake from a 94-00 integra LS. I believe they have the same bends as the type r. Please dont ask me why im not using an ex intake....just accept i want to use the integra. Any answers would be appriciated.

Until now, I had no idea a D16Y8 intake manifold would fit on a D16Y7 engine! I know that the throttle body on a D16Y8, B16A2 (99-00 Civic Si), and Integra GS-R are all 58 mm. If you can find out whether the LS t-body is the same size as the others, it should fit. But keep in mind some modification to the intake might be necessary. Sorry I couldn't help much.

all the intakes are the same, as far as civic ex, civic si , teg ls, and teg gsr/itr. Get any of them....
civic lx/dx has a different IM design, and a huge bend on their air intakes.
d16y8 IM's bolt right onto d16y7's. They're essiencially the same engines.....

Maybe I'm not remembering properly, but I've held a GSR throttle body up next to a D16Y8 throttle body and there was a definite size difference.
