This proves our point that non-Sol owners don't undertand most of our problems. If our n00b admin knew anything about the del Sol he wouldn't have said something this stupid.

And I'm out. Later guys.

#1: See how it is CRX and pre-1992 Civics? CRXes don't get their own forum, they share it with the Civic models built from the same platform.

#2: Try putting a CRX suspension on your Sol. Tell me how that goes.

The Del Sols are no different from the average Civic than the EG is different from the EK or the EP.

The real problem here is simply size, for the many many Civic guys its not a problem, their forum just grew 5% and they get to learn something new, for the Del Sol guys, our forum just grew 500% and we now are going to have to yell louder to have ourselves heard about Sol-specific issues.

Look man i don't have any ego. I said that we had a community even if it was 10 people or so. We had a bond and that bond can't be shared with 100+ civic people not understanding the connection solers have with their cars. I don't know how you civic people feel but more often than not del sol owners have a stronger bond with their car. And maybe another reason that there is only 10 people posting in the sol forum is that there aren't that many sol's out there. The sol only had one generation, one body style, not 4 or 3 different gen's that the civics went through in the 90's. I see 10 civics for every 1 sol i see. that right there means that we would have a stronger bond than civics. Psssh you don't understand unless you have a sol. (del sol)

Doesn't look like it to me. Sol specific question on the first page, nice and high. You have plenty of free bump posts from Civic owners asking questions about the Del Sols.

I think in the next couple of months a lot of the Civic owners who have interest in the Del Sol will learn a lot about the Sol because the info is now there for them to read, without specifically going to the Sol forum and digging. I bet a lot of them will be able to answer Sol-specific questions in no time. Most of the people who drive Civics and are active posters in this forum can answer questions about both EGs and EKs, and across all three body styles. This is just one more body... no big deal.

It's been empty for years. Good luck in that venture, many others have tried with other vehicles and Import Love, but IL is at its core an off topic forum.

Why don't you stick around for 2 weeks and see how things go?

you're right. You're on a completely different level than I am with your sol. I can not imagine what it must be like for you to own a sol. I mean, seriously...

It is all ego man. Look at the non sol owners. They're happy and content welcoming with open arms and you egomaniacs are bitching and crying like little girls.

Considering the conent ofo the quoted post, you could learn a few things about the civics.

Actually, I have a DOHC VTEC del sol A/C mount on my C1. I guess I do have a little sol in me after all. :chuckles:

I have two things to point out about this post: Crucial, Fuji.

I will stay around, and I feel there will be things to gain from this, but its not the same as before and before today HAN was my favorite forum just because of the community we had and now its gone.

So far there is about a half dozen of the Solers accounted for in IL, I feel that if the majority of the core Solers get over there its can be pretty much the same to what we had here on HAN- then we get the best of both worlds; the community of the old forum in IL and the "new and better" HAN, im gonna try both and hopefully find things to like in each one.
