SiR BLown transmission

My friend blowed his SiR transmission

h:
He is looking for a replacement or upgrade with a LSD
Is it true that all B series transmissions can be interchangeable?
Can he use a ITR transmission?

Yes you can bolt any b-series tranny to any b-series block. You will not find any b-series tranny cheap. You can check here www.hmotorsonline.com and www.importautosalvage.com to find one.

Try to get a hydrolic clutch version. The older B transaxles had cable actuated clutches (the original Civic SiR, CRX SiR, and Integra RSi, XSi and all US 90-93 Integras) that while cheaper to replace, are not quite as fun to install the first time around.
