Default Quick question on D15b
There selling me a P28 ECU with the D16B Engine harness. From ECU though firewall to engine. all complete, my questions is this, will this harness fit my D15b engine. 100 for both is not bad.

p28 is the same ecu my d16z6 uses.

should work on the d15b jdm too.

so does it matter, or should i say "how do i know if the ecu is for a manual or auto car?"

this is my ECU Number

37820-P28-A02
760-724514 AWL

then there is a little logo with the letters"IPT"

the thing with the D15B (JDM) is that it has a 3 stage VTEC. it may not run correctly with that ECU (a JDM D15B will not run correctly with a D16 ECU). ...so u might run into problems. im not 100% sure...but be weary.

so i have found out that the p28 ecu is manual 5 speed, does anyone know if i need anything else for my car to work, and how can i tel if vtec is working when it suppost to.

You can barely hear it and feel the car pull a little harder. I can't hardly tell on my d16z6. You could always install a vtec light, but then you will be made fun of. h:

the P28 will work. I used on one a local guy's D15B swap and it works fine. I'd be interested to know if the actual JDM D15B ECU makes any difference.
