azeneis are okay in the rain when they are new, when they are a bit worn out, not so hot.

.00000010 inches of snow on the ground... hahahha they won't grip.

From my experience with Azenis, they drive okay in the rain (especially when they are new), but they are horrible if there is even a hint of standing water. This seems to hold true for both interstate driving or autocrossing...never tried them in the snow, and I can't say that I would want to

What tires are good in the rain and still good performance tires?

Good question! I don't think there is such a thing. In the past I have autocrossed on Toyo T1S in the rain and they seemed better than the Azenis, but they aren't nearly as good when it is dry. Maybe Yoko ES 100s would be a decent dry/wet performance compromise...I have yet to try them.

I guess there has to be a compromise somewhere, but if there was a tire that is truly provided superior performance in both wet and dry, then the SOLO II guys wouldn't swap to dirt stockers when it rains.

I hope I didn't get too far OT...

for drag racing, I'd look into a pair of BFG drag radials. For autocross or roadracing, if your class requires street tires, the BFG g-force KD are the best money can buy, Falken Azenis being second (and much more reasonably priced). For an R compound tire, I've had good experience with Kumho Victoracers, and of coures the ultimate tire: hoosier R/A3S03
