Default Turbo for D15b7.

Hi, I want to put a turbo on my D15b7. How much psi is safe? And what turbo is good for me to use. Like is a t3 ok or what should I use I want to make a junk yard turbo setup and preferably a oil cooled only or water cooled only not both. Wich turbo should I get and can I even put a turbo on this motor. There is no internal work done to the motor. But does have alot of bolt on parts. All I am looking to do is beat a few friends so I dont have to go overboard. Please let me know. I do plant to replace the rods and pistons and port and polish the head with a aftermarket cam but that is way done the road. I am NOT going to swap and I already know most people say I am wasting time and money but I dont care I would rather waste more money than to swap. Thanks.

A T3 is waaaaaaaay too much turbo for that motor. You wouldn't spool it worth crap! :

You'd do ok with a Greddy 15G kit. The exhaust manifold will bolt up, the only problem you will have is with the intake manifold because the B7 and the Z6 position the TB differently. I'm selling a Z6 head right now that would allow you to make a mini-me out of your B7. h:

If you don't want to do that, I'm also selling a JDM D15B intake that will work or even a Z6 manifold that will work.

You could probably run about 6 psi safely. The rods in a B7 are just really thin so...

absolutely true. If you have a header/CAI | SAI they won't be used with a turbo.

What all do you have into this 89whp monster?

Oh, I remember you. I wish you wouldn't pass it off that you have a D15B7 all the time. Granted your block code says that, but it's really misleading when we're trying to help you decide on what to do. It totally changes the parts available for your motor.

A Greddy 15G kit would work well.
