Default Swapping from an Automatic to a manual

I'm helping a friend swap a 91 SOHC Del Sol from an automatic to a Manual trans. everthing seems to line up except the top trans mount. Is there a mout I can buy or can I modify the mount? Thanks. I already tried the FAQ but I coul;d'nt find anything.

I think hasport sells a mount for that or weld the correct mount there. you can get it at hparts online and its $30 vs the hparts one at around $100

When I did mine, I found a lot of things saying I'd have to cut and reweld the mount on the frame, moved about an inch. I didn't give 2 shits about that car, so I just threw the mount on the tranny, grabbed a big pry bar, aand made it work. Never caused any issues.

hahah nice lol I would just re-weld the mount on the frame of the car. its $30 from honda unless you want to go to hasport to get the mount for $100

Knowing what I know now, I should have just flattened out the mount and widened the holes. That would have worked a lot better. But it was my first swap ever, and I was frustrated with enough other shit that having a motor mount lining up was the least of my concerns...

Just flattening it out wont make the mount work, the frame mount needs to come over at least an inch or 2 to get the axles to align correctly. There is 2 ways of doing things, 1) the half ass way. 2) The correct way.
