No. You take the seals from the sides of your old top and install them on the Ameripol with the locking mechanisms. You will see no improvement. The sealing procedures are identical between the Ameripol and stock top.

And I'm new here - I'm pickin up my 95 Sol on Sunday, to add to my 02 Civic. Just thought I'd say howdy.

Howdy ho!

Tib, your best bet is to find new seals out of a salvaged car. You should be able to pull them out very gently without breaking the clips.

Saying you can't take the seals off another sol is like saying you can't masturbate in the dark with your left hand.... It's not as easy, but it can still be done. I took the seals off a 97 in the junkyard and slapped em on my 93 and it worked great. I just did the front and the ones on the roof, not the rear, and it cost me 20 bucks for the seals, and 7 bucks for black silicone caulk at checker.

Tib, it your case, go to checker and get some black silicone caulk, and just use it to smooth over and build aup a little on the existing seals. Should be about 7-8 bucks, and should last quite a while if you clean the seals properly before adding the caulk onto them.

I've found the seal part numbers and places to buy em. Either from the dealer, majestic parts online, or hpart online. Here they are with prices:

Side – Part – Dealer price – majestic price – hparts price
Left - 85191-SR2-033 - $81.89 (majestic – 61.42) (hparts – 57.20)
Right - 85141-SR2-033 - $74.84 (majestic – 56.13) (Hparts – 52.28)
Front - 72320-sr2-033 - 154.97 (majestic – 116.23) (hparts – 108.27)
Rear - 72330-sr2-023 - 304.09 (majestic - 228.67) (hparts – 213.01)

Totals
Dealer-615.79
Majestic-462.45
Hparts-430.73

the caulking idea is a great one and im going to get that stuff from somewhere nearby (we have checkers the fast food place and checkers the local pizza place, but no checkers the car shop), but im think if i get the chance im still going to replace the front seal simply because it has worn down to the metal and the seal is falling out in chunks. I e-mailed a local shop and they told me they had never done the prosedure before but would be willing to, but most importantly- if it aint broke dont fix it. im gonna run it over with a hose and check for problems, but i assume im gonna have to simply because i dont want black confetti trailing me whenever i drive.

if it looks worn, replace it. Better safe than sorry. It's only a few hundred for a car you spend a few thousand on. Dont take chances.
