call me crazy-but has anyone tried like a DIY city lamp on their stock usdm headlights? on a 6gen?

You can just drill a hole in the housing and use prelude city light sockets... it's been done many times... try search on here or HT.

What is the point of city lights? Are they just to look cool as you are crusing? I think they look alright, and if I had JDM headlights I would wire them up since they are there anyway, but I don't think I would go to the trouble of putting them on my current headlights.

there is so much light pollution in japan that they dont need low beams as we have but instead the have courtesy lights, they are a little bit dimmer than normal low beams

some cities also use them at stoplights
they turn off their main headlights so not to blind the people across from them on the opposite side of the rd
(how many times are we going to discuss what theyre for?)

A bit dimmer? :eh:

They're just as bright as your license plate lights cause they use the same type of bulbs. I'd say they're not even close to low beams. h:

the diy city light for a stock usdm housing would just be for show. i think the city lights look nice. thats all.
