That's pretty slick with the grease fittings though. How long have you had the bushings on your car? Have you had any problems with noise as a result of not greesings them?
Really? I've heard that too, but just figured it was all BS? I'm pretty sure they're the same price, regardless of color? I was never really concerned with the pretty side of my car and just bought whatever they had.

I greased the hell out of them when I installed the bushings and drove on them for probably about 8 months before I wrecked my hybrid. In that time, I had no issues with squeaking but I also had a completely gutted hatch with all the sound dampening tar removed (woo 3 pounds!) and an uncorked Tanabe RM, so I probably wouldn't hear squeaking anyway.

I read the graphite thing on their web site.

I've also read in HT that they removed 20 lbs from a car by removing the tar dampening material. They used dry ice to make it brittle then chipped it right off

I'll be damned, I feel special now. Too bad I sold the damn thing.

Maybe on newer or higher model Civic's there's 20 pounds, but not on my car. On my CX the only tar was on the floor under the front driver/passanger's feet. I just pulled it off the old fashioned way. Screwdriver, hammer and a hot summer day but I kept everything we removed, threw it in a plastic bag and weighted it for a grand total of 3 pounds (that bag is still in my basement somewhere). I know a buddy of mine's Si hatchback had more tar, at least some all through the spare tire well and such but my '92 CX only had that little bit. Stuff's a pain in the ass to remove too.
