The 5th gen has connectors at the strut towers, the 6th gen does not. The 6th gen harness goes from motor to ECU. There are no connectors in the bay.

Anything IS possible, but I do not foresee this being an easy task. Also, are you 100% sure that the head from a D16Y8 will fit on a D15B7?
as i said before.. i agree that its rediculous.. but he is insistant on doing it.. i still say just go obd1

so if i were to get the p28..what would i need to do with the wiring and harness from the 97?

when doing OBD2/OBD1 swaps the connectors you have to worry about changing are: distributor, alternator, injectors.

Now you can either switch the connectors on your OBD1 harness with the ones on the OBD2 harness, or you can switch the distribuot and injectors themselves.

You will be able to switch the injectors, but you vtec and non-vtec distributors are not interchangable, so you will have to splice either the harness or the distributor connectors.

so what distributor would i need? a 92-95 ex one?
