Default Is it worth $700

I was looking for motors and i ran across i think it is www.total-boost.com and they have a bunch of b16, b18, and so on. The b16 is $2000 and it hs 168hp and 116 torque and a b18c has 170hp and 128 torque. I planning on using a garret turbo (thanks to pauls advice) t3/t4. But i am not sure if the 2 extra hp and the 12 torque is worth 700. Now from reading the b16 has a higher top end and the b18 has more lower end. Is that true? Would you spend that $700 or performance mod?

It's not always about the numbers it gives, but how it's designed too. The B18C is can handle boost much better than the B16, so get the B18

i thought the B18 had like 200 hp??

b18b is 142hp, and b18c is 170? and b18c5 is 195-200hp
b16a is high compression, higher compression engines can't handle boost as good. If your gonna go FI then i would get a b18b, they are lower compression and take well to boost. Plus, you ahve to make sure it will go into your car. You said b16, is that a 1 or 2? the 1 would take some extra work, the 2 should go in easily. However, in my opinion, its not worth the 700 extra at all.
